- Make sure that your rifle is safe and unloaded. Safety first!
- Insert the Indexing Ring from the muzzle side, loosely, with the indexing tooth facing the muzzle end, 3-4 cm back from the muzzle.
- For quick sights calibration (optional): put the rifle on a leveled surface with your own front sight. Use a spirit level on your front sight, place the front sight on the action (where you would normally put your rear sight) and make sure that the bubble is centered.
- Take off the front sight from your rifle and tighten it on the carbon tube.
- Insert the tube all the way onto the barrel until it stops. Make sure that the sight rail is on the top side (12′ o’clock).
- Rotate the tube gently until the bubble in your front sight level is centered.
- Tighten the 2 Allen Screws with the included Allen Key firmly, but not too forcefully (maximum 3 N/m), as to prevent damage to the threads and screw heads.
- Insert a bullet into the chamber and shoot towards a target. If the shot is withing 7-10 points, use your rear-sight clicks for adjusting to the center. If the hit further away, open the 2 screws and rotate the tube very slightly (0.5-1 mm) towards the hit direction. Repeat steps 7-8 as needed. Elevation adjustment should be made using the rear sight.
- Once centered, move the Indexing Ring forward and rotate it until its tooth is locking with the other tooth on the tube. Tighten the screw of the Indexing Ring (with same force as the tube screws).
- From now on, whenever you put the tube on the barrel, make sure that the tube is locking with the Indexing Ring’s tooth.
